The Birlot tide mill waterwheel, in the Brehat island (Brittany - France). This water mill is driven by tidal rise and fall, not by the direct action of the ebb and flow but thanks to a sea pond reservoir first, the water of which operating then the mill waterwheel - through sluice gates - twice a day during six hours if need be. La roue à aubes du moulin à marée Birlot, dans l'île de Bréhat (Côtes d"Armor - France). Le moulin à marée est mu par les marées montantes et descendantes mais pas par action directe de celles-ci qui remplissent d'abord un étang réservoir dont l'eau actionne ensuite la roue à aubes du moulin en s'écoulant au travers d'une écluse deux fois par jour pendant six heures si nécessaire.
