Takakkaw Falls is the highest waterfall in the Canadian Rockies, with a vertical drop of 380 m. The name "Takakkaw" is a Cree Indian word meaning "magnificent". The setting of these falls, in the great glacial valley of Yoho, is spectacular. Takakkaw is fed from the Daly Glacier part of the vast Waputik Icefield.
