Air Force Senior Airman Daniel Smith, originally from Helena, Mont., and an electrician with the 777th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron at Kandahar Airfield, receives an Army Achievement Medal from the 4-73rd Cavalry Battalion Commander, Army Lt. The three engineers travelled to FOB Farah with Drew Clemens, a geologist with the Army Corps of Engineers, to assess the well and water distribution system. Once all the data was collected on the well project, Smith, Robbins, and Sargent all volunteered their skills to the FOB Mayor. "They probably moved us forward by two or three weeks on some of the projects," Master Sgt. Guy Powell, the FOB Mayor said. "They've done a lot in a short period of time."
