A sign admonishing pet owners to pick up after their dogs do their business is seen in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York on Thursday, November 28, 2013. The NYC Dept. of Transportation is removing the signs in an effort to reduce visual clutter on the street. The signs are consider redundant as pet owners already know about the "pooper scooper" law, enacted in 1978. The signs have not been maintained in ten years and the fine is now $250.(© Richard B.
