Het. p. 165. 5 . Head and thorax grey marked with blackish; back of head with two crimson spots; abdomen black, the ventral surface crimson to near extremity. Fore wing violaceous grey, tinged in parts with pale brown ; some black marks at base; an antemedial spot on costa and two small spots in submedian interspace; a spot in middle of cell and medial points above and below vein 1; two spots in end of cell and a spot below angle ; a series of spots just beyond the cell, becoming short streaks beyond lower angle and bent inwards below vein 2 ; a maculate baud from costa before apex to vein 5 ; a terminal series of spots, the spot above vein 3 elongate. Hind wing hyaline, with the terminal area broadly fuscous. Hah. Amazons, R. Javary {Trail), 1 $ type. Exp. 28 millim. 1061. Neacerea albiventus. (Plate XVI. fig. 22.) Neacerea albiventus, Druce, A. M. N. H. (7) i. p. 406 (1898). S . Head and thorax black; palpi in front and frons white ; streaks on patagia and a fine dorsal line on thorax white ; coxae and stripes on legs white; abdomen suffused with brilliant blue, the ventral surface white ; wings black. Fore wing wdth oblique semihyaline white band across end of cell to vein 2 ; cilia white at apex. Hind wing with the inner area semihyaline whitish ; cilia white towards apex and tornus; underside with white fascia on basal half of costa, an apical patch and the inner area pure white.
