CORRESPONDENCE OLD GLAMORGAN PIG Sir,—In your issue of April 14 I notice thatreference has been made in the Live Stick Im-provement report for South Wales to an attemptto form a Welsh pis society, which will includethe Old Glamorgan Pig Society. I would like topoint out that sue}? a statement is my society was approached with the objectof forming a Welsh pig society (it being claimedthat specimens of the Old Glamorgan breed wereto be found in all parts of Wales), it was agreed, that the name of the society should be alteredand called the Welsh Pig Society, if six pigswere found in West Wales true to type and peg-eessiug all the characteristics of the Old Gla-morgan pig. As yet they have not been broughtforward, and the members of my society havedecided not to entertain the formation of asociety at the risk of losing any characteristic ofthe Old Glamorgan pig, which has been line bredby our ancestors in Glamorgan from time imme-morial.—I am, etc., Hi. David, Hon. Sec.
