Iruya is a village in the province of Salta (Argentina). Arriving by settlement, the first impression is of a village "hanging on the mountain ', or rather, of an island, it is surrounded by rivers Colanzulí and Milmahuasi. It highlights its colonial buildings and narrow streets fantastic panoramic landscapes. In its proximities are the ruins of the Indian fortress of Titiconte. Here, people, costumes, customs and homes have maintained their tradition over 250 years. The town retains its narrow cobblestone streets with house adobe bricks, stones and straw. The road ends for automobile traffic, but a mule can make a trip within the department, which shows the mountainous landscape in all its aggressiveness and magnitude.
