Brighton, UK. 20th June, 2018. The headstone of Tom Highflyer, a young slave boy rescued by the Royal Navy’s East African Anti Slave Trade Squadron in 1866 was re-sited yesterday (Wednesday) after restoration exactly 148 years to the day it was originally sited in Brighton's Woodvale Cemetery. Named after the ship that rescued him, the boy was sent to Brighton to live and be educated, where he died in 1870, at about the age of 12. Credit: Andrew Hasson/Alamy Live News
