Hurricane Karl struck Mexico's east coast on September 17, 2010 uprooting trees and flooding rivers in the state of Veracruz. A crocodile farm near the town of La Antigua, Veracruz was flooded and hundreds of the reptiles escaped. Locals here have recaptured one of the animals in a flooded sugarcane field.
