The upper part of its body isblack; the throat, breaft, and belly, of a light afh colour.—It is rarely to be feen; frequents the banks of rivuletsand marfliy places, where it burrows. It is very numerous in Lincolnfhire, but was never ob-ferved there till about twenty years ago.—It is called, inthat country, the Blind 426 HISTORY OF QUADRUPEDS.
