South side of Derriton viaduct near Holsworthy in Devon
Derriton viaduct was built in 1898 as part of the Holsworthy to Bude railway line. It is constructed entirely from concrete and was the first viaduct in the UK to be built this way. The Launceston to Bude line was axed in 1966 as part of the Beeching cuts and Derriton viaduct is now a cycle way, forming part of the North Tamar Way.
