Setting sun, International Ice Festival, Harbin, China
The Harbin International Ice Festival Art Expo, which takes place each winter in Harbin is one of the largest ice festivals in the world. The huge structures are built from 2-3 ft blocks of ice taken from the Songhua River with lights embedded in the ice. The illuminated buildings at night are a photographers delight, but the frigid cold (-35oC when I was there) is hard on the photographer and the camera gear.
