Carnations are holding up well, but most of them are showing the effects of the hot days. Gladioli were and are plentiful at all of the markets and promise to crowd the market this week. The price is down to $4 per hundred. Valley is in demand and of good quality. Daisies, both yellow and white, seem to take well with the trade. A great deal of outdoor stock is coming in, 8uch as cape jasmine, torget-me-nots, candytuft, fe- verfew and larkspur; These, with peo- nies, should be in large demand by the end of the week, for Decoration day. Various Notes. The Retail Florists' Association held its regular monthly meeting May 18 at the Washington hotel. The meeting was not well attended. President Harry Young presided. An application for membership was filed. After disposing of all the business on hand, a discussion was started in regard to summer meet- ings, and it was decided by vote to hold no meetings during the months of June, ,Iuly and August. The next meeting will be held September 21, although a special meeting for urgent business may be called at any time by the president. The County Growers' Association will hold its regular monthly meeting June 4 at the Eleven Mile house. President Vennemann will, by that time, have returned from his honeymoon trip and will preside over the meeting. Secre- tary Deutschmann is making arrange- ments for the installation of the newly elected officers and the members should come out in full force to attiend
