Hurricane Katrina, LaPlace, La., October 8, 2005 - Ashley Kusick (right), a high school teacher left without a job when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, has been hired by FEMA and is now in training to become a Disaster Recovery Center manager at the LaPlace DRC at 160 Belle Terre; her old school, Landry High School, is also now a DRC.
