On this spire and on the anterior mantle edge are a fewblue spots. Across the roof of the mantle chamber—that is on theunderside of the mantle—runs the gill, which is an even band oflamellae, about 3 mm. wide. Between these lamellae are shorter pericardium, in which the heart is clearly visible, lies before thegill ; behind the gill is an opaque white triangular organ, about3 mm. long, which is apparently the post-branchial gland mentionedby Bergh.
