Shoulder-arm brace for recurrent shoulder dislocation, following surgery, in a 16-year-old boy. Joint dislocation (luxation) occurs when an injury forces the bones of a joint apart. It is treated by resetting the joint to its original position, but if the dislocation recurs a brace may be needed.
