KNUDSEX, Mathias, a prominentElder in the Lehi Ward, Utah county,Utah, is the son of Guldbrand Knud-sen and Marie Andersen, and was bornat Ringsager, Hedemarken, Norway,July 24, 1859. He emigrated to Utahin 1872 and located in Lehi, Utah coun-. ty, where he has resided ever since. Hewas baptized by Mons Andersen July23, 1876, and ordained a Seventy and setapart for a mission to Scandinavia byEdward Stevenson June 28, 1895. Dur-ing that and the two following years heperformed missionary work in Norway,laboring principally in the HedemarkenTrondhjem and Tromso branches. El-der Knudsen is the father of elevenchildren. He takes an active part inChurch work in the Lehi Ward. WALKER, Henson, Bishop ofPleasant Grove Ward, Utah County,from 1853 to 1863, is the son of HensonWalker and Matilda Arnell, and wasborn March 13, 1820, in Manchester,Ontario county, N. Y.
