Proboscis fully developed ; palpi obliquely upturned, the 2nd joint, reaching about to middle nf I'rons and fringed with long hair in front, the 3rd I'ather long, porret't; frons smooth; eyes large, round; autenniB of female ciliated ; thorax roughly clothed with hair and hair-like scales, the pro- and metathorax â with slight spreading crests ; fore tibisB with cui-ved claw at extremity ou inner side, the mid and hind tibite moderately fringed with hair ; abdomen without crests. Fore wing with the apex rounded, the termen evenly curved and crenulate; veins 0 and f) from near angle of cell ; 6 from upper angle ; t) from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole; 11 from cell. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 from angle of cell; 5 obsolescent from middle of discocellulars ; tJ, 7 shortly stalked ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. 3896. Centrarthra furcivitta. n. sp. 2 . Head and thorax ochreous mixed with red-brown and some fuscous; abdomen ochreous tinged with red-brown. Fore wing ochreous tinged with rutbus and irrorated with dark brown and black ; a black streak on basal half of median ncrvure obscurely forking in base of submedian fold; a faint black streak on ex- tremity of median nervure ; subbasal and antemedial lines repre- sented by a few black scales below costa ; claviform and orbicitlar.
