D. remotiflora. 75 cents each. D. sulphurea. 75 cents each. EUPHORBIA lactea (â ?). East Indies. Naturalized in Cuba. It is a queer, cactus-like plant, with three-sided stems, mottled white and green. This plant is used in Cuba to form the most perfect hedge ever seen. Absolutely impene- trable to man and beast; would send the thin- nest Florida razor-back into paroxysms of despair. It is hardly available for that purpose in Florida, as the plant is tender and liable to be frequently killed down unless protected. It is ornamental, however, especially as a speci- men plant. Specimens in Key West are twelve or fifteen feet high, with stems nearly a foot in diameter at base. 50 cents to $1 each. E, lactea monstrosa (T). Cockscomb Euphorbia. Previously catalogued as E
