It is an unwritten law in department stores that no plant sales be arranged ^or the months of July or August. I'eople are away. It is dull. Imagine, then, the surprise felt in floral circles when it became known that N. Snellen- liurg & Co. were advertising a large plant sale beginning Monday, July 19. Three large truck loads of plants opened the sale on Monday morning—a sale re- markable for the fact that the plants were of high quality and that not less than 100 of a size was offered at the ^tart.
