The original full-length portrait was taken by Kathleen Blenkhorn ARPS (Associate of the Royal Photographic Society), who lived in Birkby, Huddersfield before the Second World War and was also a member of the Huddersfield Photographic Society. The image has been scanned direct from an original print in a Blenkhorn family album. The photograph was shot with a Rolleiflex TLR (twin lens reflex) camera equipped with a Tessar objective or ‘taking’ lens.
