A handle on the rear turns the disk with the the Zabriskie-Van Dien Home, Pa ramus Road. An old author says: The action of spinning must be learned by practice, not by rela-tion. Sung by the poets, the grace and beauty of the occupation has ever shared praise withits utility. Wool-spinning was truly one of the most flexible and alert series of movements in theworld, and to its varied and graceful poisei our grandmothers may owe part of the dignity*t carriage that was so characteristic of them. It was a good days work for a quick, active spinner to spin six skeins of yarn a day. It*as estimated that to do that with her quick forward and backward steps she walked overtwenty miles.
