St Charles Borromeo Church (Kosciol sw. Karola Boromeusza), at Chlodna Street 9, in the background of the shot, was built 1841-1849 in neo-Renaissance style. It was blown up by the Germans after the 1944 Warsaw Uprising and re-built in 1956. From 2010-2011, the cobblestones road of Chlodna Street, with its tram rails, was restored to its pre-war appearance.
