Sow in the spring, in drills eighteen inches apirt, and cover lightly. When the plants are two inches high, thin out to four or six inches apart. One ounce of seed will sow two hundred feet of drill. Four pounds to the acre. Sugar, Hollow Crown or Guernsey. The old standard varie- ty. Smooth skin, ten- der, and well flavored. The best, either for table use or stock.
