This is the southern Milky Way in Carina, Crux and Centaurus arcing over Mirrabook Cottage near Coonabarabran, NSW, Australia. At right are the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds. This is looking south to the South Celestial Pole which is near centre here. This is a blend of: four tracked 2-minute exposures at ISO 1600 and for the sky, with four untracked 5-minute exposures at ISO 800 and f/4 for the ground. All with the Canon Ra and the 11mm TTArtisan full-frame fish-eye lens, on the Nomad MSM tracker. Taken March 2024 on a productive astrophoto trip to Australia. I rented this cottage for a week; it was great! I shot this on one of the first nights just before the waning Moon came up, though it is brightening the sky at left.
