Farming in the Farndale Valley on the North York Moors, England, UK
Ferndale Valley is in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. The valley is in the North York Moors National Park. It is located 11 miles north of Kikbymoorside and the nearest town is Pickering some 17 miles south east. Ferndale is an isolated, scattered agricultural community with traditional Yorkshire dry stone walls. The sheep roam freely on the moors. It is a popular place for walkers especially y in the Spring when the daffodils are in bloom along the banks of the River Dove.
