Flowers single, white; fruit small, red, of good quality. Peters' Yellow Gage. Large oval, bright yellow, rich and juicy, fine quality. A good grower. Sept. Reine Claude. (Ba- vey's Green Gage.) Very large, green- ish, fine flavor. Sept. â Shippers' Pride. â Large, dark pur- ple, very showy, often measuring 2 inches in diameter; fine, juicy and SHIPPERS PRIDE. sweet. Sept. Shropshire Damson. Medium, dark purple, very pro- ductive; best for preserving. Oct. Stanton. Tree an upright, vigorous grower. Fruit medium, size, dark purple with red bloom; flesh yellow, rich, sugary, excellent quality; very pro- lific. One of the best for canning. Oct. Tatge. Originated at Belle Plain, Iowa, about twenty-five years ago; has stood the winters un- harmed; trees planted over twenty years ago are still in bearing. Evidently a seedling of the Lom- bard, which it resembles in all respects. Aug. Yellow Egg. Very large, egg-shaped, productive; excellent for cooking. Aug.
