Endarteriectomy, drawing

Illustration of a surgical procedure called carotid endarteriectomy, a procedure to prevent CVAs. The illustration shows the placing of three clamps that allow blood flow to be interrupted. The carotid is open opposite the stenosis, before carrying out the carotid endarteriectomy, which involves eliminating, with a spatula, the artheroma plaque and all the debris.
