170415-N-HD638-305 INDIAN OCEAN (April 15, 2017) The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) transits the Indian Ocean. The Carl Vinson Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment as part of the Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of 3rd Fleet.
