A house of orchids is also in fine shape, the best in the city. Henry Kusik & Co. are busy as bees preparing for Christmas orders, espe- cially in supplies and wire-work. It is hard to keep up with the orders for wire designs. They are receiving a large supply of cut flower stock from the growers in this vicinity and also from the north. They report orders coming in faster than the supply of cut flowers arrives. Mr. Kusik reports a steady gain of business in out-of- town orders. Adolph Mohr has sold all his Christ- mass pot plants. He has only to deliver them the day the plants are wanted. He had a fine lot of begonias and poin- settias. His poinsettias will measure twenty inches across the bracts by Christmas. Joseph Austin has been bothered again with his rheumatism for the last two weeks and is not able to be about his greenhouses, which are in good shape for the Christmas trade. He has a nice lot of begonias, poinsettias and cyclamens, in just the right size for his business. Biedermann & Son received a ship- ment of some extra good palms. An increase in the demand for decorations caused him to increase his stock. He has his houses in excellent shap
