Henry Allingham is Britain's oldest living man, the oldest ever surviving member of the British Armed Forces and the oldest surviving veteran of World War I. He is the last surviving founding member of the Royal Air Force. 2008 marks the 90th Anniversary of the RAF. As of 19 June 2009 he became the world's oldest man.
