Take the Rue de Control, on the left, which leads to the Rue de in the facade of the house at No. 65 (on the right), and in the wall ofthe Lycee (on the left), are two stone bas-reliefs ornamented with trophiesof arms and Roman insignia, the sole remaining vestiges of the Porte Basee(from Basilea) which formerly stood there on the Caesarean way, at the southernextremity of the Gallo-Roman town.
