To the Honorable Mayor and Aldermen: Gentlemen: In conformity with Chapter 13, Section 3d, of theOrdinances of the City, I herewith submit a Report of the conditionof the Fire Department, containing a list of its members, with theirnames, ages, residences and occupations; also, the apparatus undertheir charge and its condition, the number of fires and alarms duringthe past year, and the number of reservoirs and hydrants from whichwater can be obtained in case of fire; together with such othermatters pertaining to the Department as may be of interest to yourHonorable Board and to our citizens generally. The Houses used for the purposes of the Department are all ingood condition. The Department has been called out by fire during the year end-ing March 31, 1864, twenty-four times; by false alarms, two times;by alarms originating out of the city, two tim
