A wide number of paths and trails surround Bagno Vignoni a spa town situated high on a hillside above the Val D'Orcia. Bagno has been known and visited for it's hot springs since before Roman times. Even today 2000 year old channels with the thermal water still running through them, cascade from ancient gathering tanks to basins further down the cliffs at the edge of the village. The archaeological site also offers dramatic views over the river valley to Rocca d'Orcia and the imposing structure of the Rocca di Tentennano.
