Reading and spelling.—Use those selections in the supplementary reading books which are rural in their bearing and which are seasonal. Utilize also the best selections available in other books. Farmers' Bulletins which may be needed include Nos. 229, The Production of Good Seed Corn; 415, Seed Corn; 537, How to Grow an Acre of Corn; 578, The Making and Feeding of Silage; 617, School Lessons on Corn. Add to the regular spelling lists all the new words which appear in the agricultural reading and especially those which are misspelled in.
