Jarrow Marchers on the Jarrow Crusade (5–31 October 1936) a protest organised against the unemployment and poverty suffered in the English Tyneside town of Jarrow after the local ship building industry collapsed 200 'crusaders' marched to London with a petition requesting re-establishment of industry in the town. It was organised by the borough council.
