CALIFORNIA, USA: THE MOMENT a kayaker was nearly hump-SMACKED by a 40-tonnes whale has been eye-poppingly captured by a passing software engineer. Pictures show how the humpback whales were BREACHING out their best ocean moves, while slapping their massive tails into the water only a matter of feet away from daring – or foolhardy – sea kayakers. The tiny-looking adventurers could have been in for a colossal smack down if they had gotten any closer to the mighty sea-beasts. Other pictures show boats coming in close and getting a shower of sea-spray courtesy of the 60-foot long whales. Software

Software engineer Arvind Agrawal (53) from California, was able to snap these incredible shots at Moss Landing, California.
