During thethirteen years of my pastorate there I do not recol-lect of his being absent from church for a single Sab-bath, unless detained at home by sickness, and I doremember of his being present after heavy snowstorms and before the roads were broken, when per-sons living near the church excused themselves fromattendance for the same reason. He was an attentivehearer, a devout worshipper, and an unostentatiousChristian believer.
