Construction of Uncle Sam's latest type of Destroyer. The photograph, numbered 111-SC-6287, was taken in March 1918 by Lt. Jackson of the Signal Reserve Corps. It shows construction work on the bow of the destroyer, which measures 330 feet long. The photo was taken at the Union Iron Works in San Francisco, California. It was censored and released by the War College Division Laboratory on March 19, 1918.
