Theophilus trio of lunar craters. North is at left. From left (diameters in brackets) this trio of lunar craters are: Theophilus (100 kilometres), Cyrillus (98 kilometres), and Catharina (100 kilometres). The age increases from left to right, with Theophilus being more than 1 billion years old. Catharina, in contrast, is heavily eroded. Within Cyrillus is the smaller crater Cyrillus A. The central peak of Theophilus is kilometres in height. Surrounding craters include Kant (32 kilometres, lower left) and Madler (28 kilometres, top left). This image, taken from Souni, Cyprus, with a 356mm reflector, was obtained on 17 April 2013.
