Cow (Bos taurus) lying in a field on a farm which practices multispecies grassland. Using grassland comprised of more than one or two species is better for soil stability, biodiversity and requires less intensive management. Providing the herbivores with multiple species of plant to eat has also been reported to increase their weight and improve their general health.
