Wearable computer. Steve Mann testing a retinal projection display system for a wearable computer. The red light is the display being projected by a laser through the pupil of his left eye, onto the retina inside the eyeball. Wearable computers are designed to integrate computer functions more fully into everyday life. This system is being developed at the University of Toronto, Canada, in the laboratory of Steve Mann, one of the pioneers of wearable computers. Photographed in 2002.
