Rostrum tlat above, tij) with small triani^ular .smooth space, a fine median line near tlie tip. Thorax slia;htly broailer than long, sides in front rather strongly arcuate, then gradually narrowed to base, disc moderately convex with a rather l)road median channel deeper in front, surface sub-granular and very densely scaly and with few sub-erect scale- like hairs. Elytra oblong oval, slightly wider at base than the thorax, humeri rounded, disc moderately convex, feebly striate, strise witli mode- rate, rather closely placed, round punctures, each filled with a large scale, intervals convex, the sutural 2-t-*l-8 more elevated, surface densely scaly, each interval with one row of short scjile-likt; sub erect hairs.
