The October price cap announcement from Ofgem is that from Friday, August 26th prices are expected to rise by up to 80%. The October price cap will be determined, but it's estimated to be around £3,500 for a typical home. Also fuel prices in Scotland are expected to rise, with some stations selling petrol for more than £2 per litre, making Scotland the most expensive in the UK.
