Sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus). Head of a sperm whale as it spyhops beside a boat. This whale can grow up to 16 metres in length and weigh 40 tonnes. It feeds on squid, octopus and fish. Sperm whales are social animals, living in groups of around a dozen individuals. Photographed in the eastern Caribbean.
