MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA, Ariz. – Lance Cpl. John Hollis, machine gunner, Combined Anti-Armor Team 2, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, and a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., mans an M41 Saber Improved Target Acquisition System on an uparmored humvee during a defensive exercise here, Oct. 15, 2013. The Marines concealed their fighting positions with camouflage netting and vegetation to blend into their surroundings. The battalion conducted a three-day defense to practice developing proper fields of fire, establishing fighting positions and challenging Marines’ ability to operate while sleep deprived.
