HAVING first discovered America in Hampton,Va., at a quite early and immature age, back in90, and passed through a youth that was undoubt-edly pyrotechnic, Rat (a pseudonym acquired, together with other knowledge, glories and de-gree of Bachelor of Arts at Richmond College),is unique. He wanders from the wheat fields ofsunny Kansas to the bloomin bloody pools of Liver-pool in search of adventure, and his speech andhabiliments smack of both. In college he has en-tered into all the virtues and vices which constitutea medical curriculum—football, basket-ball, base-ball, journalism (Rat, Sl(ull and Bones, and5:00 P. M. Friday are synonymous, gaining maxi-mum credit with minimum labor—an erudite, versa-tile vagabond). His past is doubtful, his future—wewill not prophecy. THE 1916 X-RAY 59.
