Grasp with both hands the loweredge of the patients skirts in front, gather them upinto folds, and carry them above her knees. Fold the lower edge of the sheet between herthighs to expose the vulva, and drape one endacross to the opposite knee to prevent exposureuntil the examiner is ready to proceed.
