Sardar Mohammed Hamdard, the first deputy governor of Helmand province, addresses Afghan National Army soldiers with 6th Kandak, 1st Brigade, 215th Corps during a graduation ceremony at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, Dec. 3, 2017. Approximately 350 soldiers with the unit graduated from an operational readiness cycle, an eight-week training regimen designed to enhance the soldiers’ individual and collective infantry capabilities. The unit will use their newfound skills to support combat operations against the Taliban in the province.
