Yellow Anigozanthus humilis (common catspaw) near Moora, Western Australia


Anigozanthos are a genus of plants commonly known as Kangaroo Paws that are only found in southwest Australia. They are all members of the bloodwort family Haemodoraceae. The Kwongan area of coastal heath extending to the northern wheatbelt is particularly rich in many unique wildflowers can be seen in the roadside verges.
